AND what ticks me off the most from copy cats. They have mini details then in some cases high prices for what they call a “complete Detail”.  Complete ??? What is that?  We don’t do things half way. We don’t nickel and dime details.  ALL our details are COMPLETE.  Good Grief. !!  If you want to pay these guys $100 every 6mths, knock yourself out.  But that is too much money to pay them.

4. We are not fly by night detailers who come and go in this business. We don’t arrive with hats backwards or tattoos and look homeless. And no kidding, I saw a competitor who had the Under wear showing... I kid you not !! We have been in business 21 years and expanding to more Franchises everyday. Oh and thanks to the incompetence and Unprofessional copy cats, they are actually helping our business.

5. Many customers want their car detailed so they can turn in the lease, or sell it. We will promise to "assign” the warranty to the new car if it is in new condition. So just let us know when you get the new car, and we will detail it for free or during the $25 follow up wash. - (we mention to new owners to NOT let dealerships con you into their RIP OFF add on miracle Paint scam). So you get 2 details for price of one. NO copy cat will do that.

6. We background check out Franchise owners and operators who detail your car. Of the 500 franchises, over 2000 have been refused a franchise for various reasons

7. Did I say we have the best products that you can’t buy? We make those products for use on Million dollar private jets and airliners and its wax that matches your car's paint. The product is over kill for your car. It has UV protection and protects your car from sun AND cold weather.  Copy cats use Wal-mart like products they buy at stores or suppliers that lack in quality, Oh and if a Car Dealer says they have the same product… they are LYING and let us know, so we can school them on ethics 101.

8. We work Saturday and Sunday to accommodate hours best for you. And with Daylight Savings Time we work well past 6 to 7pm.

9. If your head lights are dull and fogged over, we will fix that for Free as part of the detail. Others charge $30 or more for that service.

10. Ask the Copy cat Mobile detailers for their Business licenses. Odds are they don’t have one. And beware of those with no vehicle signage. If they don’t have either, don’t hire them. They are illegal.

11. To compensate for gas prices increase time to time, we offer discounts and gas cards.

12. And make sure Copy cats are really mobile. Asking you to use your water and electric is NOT mobile.

13. And, MY PET PEEVE… what ever you do, DO NOT believes the New Car dealers who try to sell you a miracle Paint protection add on. Check your bill and contract…they will use fancy names and include them in things you don’t need. IT IS A RIP OFF !!!!! They use this to make more money from you. Some use the name Xelon, or whatever the name, it’s a pure scam and lie. Let us know who does this so we can warn consumers. Tell them NOT to charge you this. If they say it’s already done, tell THEM NOT TO CHARGE you. They are lying to you. One of my customers was charged $999 by these scammers. Mobile Car Care is 21 years old on January 17th yeahhhhhhhh

Mobile Car Care, the Inventor of the Mobile Detailing concept, is celebrating its 21st anniversary in January 2012.  After leaving USAIR in 1991, Bill Swisher was confronted with a decision, to stay with a great USAIR job or go out on a leap of faith.  After a severe drought  affected the entire South eastern US and Florida, the Government water management districts were not allowing ANY car washing at homes or Business in order to concerve.  Since Swisher would detail cars of friends at his home for fun and while off duty at USAIR each week, that process had to change or a fine would result from the water police.  So, since NO ONE thought of this Mobile Concept to wash or detail cars, aircraft, etc on site, Swisher started the very first Mobile Detailing unit in Daytona Beach, Florida by exploring concepts.

Swisher then took a leave of absence at USAIR for 6 weeks and after a slow start, like 2 weeks, the business was a hit.  Now even Bill Swisher mentions that he wont talk about the 493 failures previous (lol), but this was a popular service that meant that Mobile Car Care was the ONLY entity allowed to wash cars in Florida.   In those days, no one could buy Generators or water tanks as readily as one can today at the big box stores and discount clubs.  He ordered Generator and bought water tanks from farm supply centers in Georgia.   So after taking  months to tweak the mobile design (since he had no one to copy or brain pick like the copy cats can do today), the formula was there for a successful business.   And Mobile detailing was a booming business done ONLY by Mobile Car Care.

Soon people began to see the popularity of the mobile concept  and wanted to work for Mobile Car Care.  Media press stories on the success gained attention.  Bill Swisher immediately decided to "franchise" the business so that owners could reap the rewards of their work themselves.  THAT business model also took off, and became popular.  Currently there are 517 (at this writing) Franchised Mobile Car Care units in the nation.  40% are owned by Investors who hire someone to work the unit and the detailer pays them a fee, just like a renter pays rent on a house.  One owner in Texas actually left the Housing investments industry to open 12 franchises that pay him more in fees than his Income Property ever did.  In 21 years of Business, there has been ZERO failures,  In fact in only one case, where one owner simply got tired of running a franchise himself after becoming 62 years young, Mobile Car Care resold the unit for that original purchaser, at NO COST and NO profit to MCC.  NOW, that is a great Franchise experience and the owner is happy that his customers have a great franchise taking care of his customers he built up in 10 yrs of business.

Franchises cost from $40,000 to $70,000 for a complete turnkey proven system, Customers are still guaranteed, and MCC unit profits are double of those who try to start a detailing business on their own.  Mobile Car Care teaches not only detailing 101, but Business 401.  MCC does not allow just anyone to buy a franchise, and has turned down individuals who MCC deems NOT Professional in appearance or conduct. 90% of the franchise owners are college graduate who come past jobs with good income. Some have switched to MCC from great companies and some come to MCC when laid off and need great income.  Of the 500 franchises, over 2000 people have been refused purchase.  It keeps the quality of our operators top notch.  This is why Mobile Car Care is the leader by far.  Some people try to start a business like this on their own, but the Yellow pages is littered with phone numbers out of business and disconnected.

OK, I gained 30 pounds and got out of shape running the company in my cool and comfortable office.  So when my Doctor asked what I did before to stay fit and trim, I told him I detailed cars everyday. Bad answer !! Sooooo, he thought I should go back on the road and detail cars a few times a week in lue of Health Club workouts-- brilliant. These ARE indeed work outs AND fun. I have been taking care of cool cars last week or so.  Lenny Pistone, of New Port Richy, FLA,  is the proud owner of the classic Chevy. I was happy to see it has Mobile Car Care colors.  Nearly screamed like a little girl when I saw the car.  Amazing vehicle that is unofficially the MCC mascot. LOL.  Lenny goes to car shows and cleans up in 1st place trophy's left and right.  The other car, wooooo, that just made me start rethinking the purchase of a Dodge Challenger. It's Rob's special MOPAR Dodge Edition Charger.  Just amazing, and I cant think of the proper words.

I "almost" had them convinced that I MUST air dry these vehicles when I do follow up washes.. dang, would have worked if I didn't chuckle... dang !
